What are the new passport requirements?
CRUISE TRAVEL
The U.S.
Government will soon require all of
our guests (including U.S. citizens)
to be in possession of a valid passport
when traveling on any Carnival cruise.
Foreign nationals should contact their
respective governments to obtain further
details. This requirement may become
effective as early as Summer 2008.
Carnival strongly recommends that
all guests travel with a valid passport
during their cruise. This will enable
guests to fly from the U.S. to meet
their ship at the first port should
they miss their scheduled embarkation;
and allow guests that must debark the
ship before their cruise ends to fly
back to the U.S. without significant
delays and complications. Additionally,
it will greatly help to expedite their
debark process.
AIR TRAVEL
Passports are required for
air travel to or from Europe, Canada,
Mexico, Central and South America, the
Caribbean, The Bahamas and Bermuda. This
is an important new requirement for our
cruise guests traveling by air to embark
or debark in Vancouver for our Alaska
or Hawaii cruises. In addition, this
new requirement will also impact our
Canadian guests that travel by air
to or from any of our U.S. embarkation
port. Guests must travel with a valid
passport during their cruise. This
will enable guests to fly from the
U.S. to meet their ship at the first
port should they miss their scheduled
embarkation and allow guests that must
debark the ship before their cruise
ends to fly back to the U.S without
significant delays and complications.
For more information or to obtain a
passport application, visit www.travel.state.gov .
Passport Services (www.passportservices.com/carnival)
can also assist with step-by-step instructions
and application assistance.
All guests must present the required
documentation at embarkation. Guests
without the required documentation
will be denied boarding and no refund
will be issued. Please understand that
Carnival will strictly enforce this
requirement to be in compliance with
this important U.S. Government mandate.
Proper travel documentation is required
at embarkation and throughout the cruise.
Even though a guest has completed registration
using FUNPASS, it is still the responsibility
of the guest to bring all required
travel documents. Guest should check
with their travel agent and/or government
authority to determine the travel documents
necessary for each port of call. Carnival
assumes no responsibility for advising
guests of immigration requirements.
Carnival strongly recommends guests
travel with a passport since it will
expedite clearance by the Department
of Homeland Security. U.S. Alien Residents
need a valid Alien Resident Card. Canadian
citizens must present a valid passport.
Non-U.S. citizens need a valid passport
and a valid, unexpired U.S. Multiple
Re-entry Visa, if applicable. Guest
names on travel documents (passport,
Alien Resident Card, birth certificate,
etc.) must be identical to those on
the cruise and airline tickets. Otherwise,
proof of name change (e.g., a marriage
license) OR a valid driver's license
(or other government-issued photo ID)
must be presented.
On occasion, non-U.S. citizens and
U.S. Alien Residents may be asked to
surrender their passport and/or Alien
Resident Card at time of embarkation.
These documents will be returned upon
completion of the Immigration inspection
at the time of debarkation. Non-U.S.
citizens eligible to apply for admission
under the Visa Waiver Pilot Program
must still have a valid, unexpired
passport. U.S. State Department regulations
require all guests traveling from visa-waiver
countries be in possession of a machine-readable
passport that includes a biometric
identifier - e.g., embedded digital
photograph. Otherwise, guests will
be required to obtain a U.S. Multiple
Re-entry Visa. Guests without proper
identification may be refused boarding
or entry into the United States.
Can I Bring Liquor
On Board?
A liquor and beverage
consumption policy was created in
order for Carnival to be able to
control the liquor consumption of
minors and the quantities consumed
that lead to the disruptive behavior
of others on board.

Bringing Alcohol On Board - Embarkation
Guests are prohibited from bringing
alcoholic beverages onboard. However,
guests (21 years and older only) may
bring one bottle of wine or champagne

Guests may bring a small quantity of
non-alcoholic beverages.
All alcohol, additional quantities
of wine/champagne or excessive quantities
of non-alcoholic beverages will be
confiscated and discarded without compensation.
Guests may purchase a variety of beverages
on board the ship. Alcoholic beverages
will not be sold or served to anyone
under the age of 21. We reserve the
right to refuse the sale of alcoholic
beverages to anyone. Alcoholic beverages

or in ports of call will be retained
by Carnival until the end of the voyage.

Self-Service Launderettes
Each ship has at least 2 self-service
launderettes located on the stateroom
decks.
There are two or three washers and
dryers, and one iron and ironing board
in each launderette. The cost is $2.00
per washer load and $2.00 per dryer
load. Vending machines dispense small
boxes of detergent and water softener
at $1.00 per box.
Note: Due to local environmental requirements,
the washing machines in the guest'
launderette will be closed in port,
per each ports specific requirements;
the dryers and irons will be available
for guest use.

by the bank sponsoring the ATM's, Bank
Atlantic of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
How old do you have to be to travel
alone?
Guests are required to be 21 years
old (on embarkation day) to travel.
Guests under the age of 21 must be
accompanied in the same stateroom by
a parent or guardian 25 or older. The
exceptions Carnival will make to this
policy are:

must be documented that the couple
is married. The couple must have proof
of marriage at embarkation or they
will be denied boarding without the
benefit of a refund.
Domestic Partners/Same-Sex Union minor

that the couple are legal Domestic
Partners/Same-Sex Union. The couple
must have legal proof of partnership/union

boarding without the benefit of a refund.
Guest ages will be verified at embarkation.
Guests not conforming to this policy
will be denied boarding and assessed
a 100% cancellation penalty. NO exceptions
will be made at embarkation.
The Group policy is slightly different
because of stricter group terms and
conditions including mandatory chaperones,
damage deposits and other considerations.
